We are proud to share a meaningful milestone with our community — our founder, Chew Siew Mei, has been selected as a Duta Kenali Ubat Anda (Know Your Medicines Ambassador) under a program organized by the Ministry of Health Malaysia.

On 30 April 2025, Siew Mei attended the Training of Trainers (TOT) session held at the Penang Digital Library, where she joined a dedicated group of health advocates to learn about safe and informed use of medicines. The program empowers selected ambassadors to spread awareness on medication literacy, particularly within their own communit

As the founder of Seniora, Siew Mei is in a unique position to bring this vital knowledge to the elderly and caregivers we serve. Many older adults are on long-term medications and may struggle with understanding prescriptions, managing dosages, or recognizing side effects. Through this role, she will help to:
Educate seniors and caregivers about the safe use of medicines
Raise awareness on the dangers of self-medication and drug misuse
Facilitate community talks and workshops on medication literacy
Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure better medication management among the elderly

We are excited about the positive ripple effect this will bring to our community. At Seniora, we believe that empowerment through education is a key pillar of active aging — and this new role will allow us to champion that mission more strongly than ever.
Stay tuned as we roll out community-focused initiatives under this program in the coming months!
